Dak Prescott sustained injuries to both hands against Bears

Dallas Cowboys franchise quarterback Dak Prescott suffered minor injuries to both his throwing and non-throwing hand on Thursday night against the Chicago Bears.

ESPN’s Todd Archer reported Friday afternoon that Prescott “hurt the index finger on his right hand and sprained his left hand” but noted head coach Jason Garrett said Prescott “seemed to come out of the game OK and will be fine” for the team’s next game against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 15.

Prescott was visibly in pain after one of his throws led to his throwing hand hitting the helmet of Khalil Mack Thursday night. The quarterback did end up throwing for 334 yards and tossed a gorgeous touchdown to Amari Cooper following that injury.

So clearly, while the injury was painful, Prescott can still sling it.

However, overall Prescott had a rough night completing just over 55% of his passes as the Cowboys lost their third straight game to fall to 6-7 on the season — amazingly still in first place in the horrid NFC East.
