Andy Reid shows pure class flying to Philly during game week to support former players

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has plenty on his mind as he prepares his team to face the Tennessee Titans Sunday. But that didn’t stop him from taking a flight to Philadelphia Thursday night to support Donovan McNabb and Troy Vincent — two of his former players — who were being inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

Jeff Skversky of 6ABC in Philly shared this classy gesture on Twitter Friday morning. Brian Westbrook, who was inducted last year, shared on Instagram that Reid was the first person he saw at Thursday night’s event, noting “I can’t think of a better coach or man than Coach Reid!!”

That’s a pretty special thing that Reid did for his former players. Especially given the fact that he and the Chiefs will soon be flying to Tennessee for Sunday’s game. Nothing but pure class from Reid, who clearly has a ton of respect and love for his former players.

It was a big deal for them, to be sure. Here’s what McNabb and Vincent had to say about being honored.
