It was just a matter of time before New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady passed another Hall of Famer on the NFL’s all-time passing yards list.
That came early during Thursday night’s game against the New York Giants. By virtue of this 19-yard pass to Sony Michel on the opening drive, Brady passed Peyton Manning for second all-time on the list.
Brady found himself third on the list after surpassing Brett Favre less than a week ago. He still has about 3,000 yards to pass Drew Brees for the top mark.
At this point, it’s pretty much going to come down to longevity between the two. Whoever plays longer will hold the record.
