New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady struggled early on against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.
However, the six-time Super Bowl champion and his team picked it up big time against a hapless Skins team in the second half.
That included this connection with Julian Edelman in the third quarter, a play that resulted in Brady passing Brett Favre for third all-time on the NFL’s passing yardage list.
We’ll go ahead and give Edelman credit for enabling Brady to pass his Hall of Famer counterpart on that specific play.
Brady entered Sunday’s action 264 yards shy of passing Favre. He was not about to let this drawn on much longer.
Next up on the all-time list is longtime nemesis Peyton Manning at 71,940. Brady should surpass Manning later on Sunday or during next week’s game against the New York Giants.
