There are certain tackling maneuvers that college football refs frown upon, one of which is the suplex, which Damar Hamlin did with emphasis Friday night against Syracuse.
The cornerback went to make a play, but the receiver didn’t want to go down. So, instead of dragging him to the ground, Hamlin pulled off a suplex any WWE star would be proud to call his or her own.
The confusing part is that the head official said that the penalty occurred after the play, which makes no sense. The play was in no way over when Hamlin dropped the hammer on his opponent.
