The Cincinnati Bearcats shocked No. 18 UCF on Friday night with a 27-24 victory in front of their rabid fans at Nippert Stadium.
The Cincinnati defense starred in this one, picking off freshman phenom Dillon Gabriel three times — including a late pick-six that proved the difference in the game.
After UCF scored late in the fourth quarter, the Bearcats pounded out a first down on 4th-and-inches to seal the win. Afterward, their fans rushed the field to celebrate the massive upset.
Cincinnati improved to 4-1 on the season with the win, while the UCF Knights dropped their second game, falling to 4-2 on the season.
