In a moment when the game was on the line and the Indianapolis Colts needed a big play, safety Malik Hooker came through in the clutch with an insane one-handed interception.
The Los Angeles Chargers held the ball inside the 10-yard line with a chance to take a two-score lead with only eight minutes remaining in the game. Rivers went for the dagger in the end zone only to see Hooker make a one-handed snag to grab it.
Indianapolis drafted Hooker with the No. 17 pick in 2017 with hopes he would be a playmaker in their secondary. He now appears ready to finally take over in that role with health on his side.
If the Colts manage to move down the field and complete the comeback, Hooker’s clutch one-handed pick will be the reason it all happened.
