If the Detroit Lions have any hope of knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday, then they’ll need Matthew Stafford to have a big game.
Unfortunately, the quarterback showed up on the injury report with a hip injury Friday. He was limited during practice and has been listed as questionable to play Sunday, per Tim Twentyman of the team’s official website.
Given Stafford’s history of playing through injuries — he’s one of the NFL’s top iron men at this time — it would be stunning if he doesn’t play Sunday.
Through three games this season, Stafford has passed for 831 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions, helping the Lions open with a 2-0-1 record.
