Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had himself a career game against the New York Giants in his team’s season opener on Sunday.
The fourth-year quarterback completed 25-of-32 passes for 405 yards with four touchdowns and zero interceptions in the 35-17 win. Immediately after said performance, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones noted that an extension for Prescott is “imminent.”
The two sides had been talking during pretty much the entire offseason. Prescott is said to be demanding the $35 million Russell Wilson earned on his contract extension with the Seattle Seahawks this past spring.
Based on what we saw Week 1, there’s a good chance that Prescott is going to get that. And soon.
This all comes on the heels of Dallas signing Ezekiel Elliott to a record-breaking extension earlier in September.
