The Boston Red Sox are looking to end their six-game losing streak in the back end of a doubleheader against the New York Yankees Saturday evening.
While Game 1 didn’t go too swell for Boston, All-Star infielder Rafael Devers made sure the second game started a tad better.
Check out Devers as he takes Yankees reliever Nestor Cortes Jr. deep for a two-run blast in the third inning.
The ball traveled 433 feet and had an exit velocity of 103.9 mph. Talk about a jack.
Boston is going to need more of this from Devers moving forward on the season if the team wants to make the playoffs. He entered Saturday’s action hitting .324 with 21 homers and 84 RBI while leading the AL in doubles (37) and hits (142).
