The Washington Nationals are piling on the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday following a gut-check 14-inning loss Saturday night and put 13 runs on the board in the first three innings. Capping off the offensive flurry, Anthony Rendon hit a three-run home run in the third inning, and his bat flip emphasized his team’s resurgence following that difficult loss.
Whoops!
It’s hard to fault Rendon for his excitement. He and his teammates have been absolutely teeing off on the Brewers today, and it’s a much-needed release following last night’s frustrating, emotional experience.
