New York Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton has been out of commission since late June with a PCL injury, but he’s finally making some progress toward a return.
Lindsey Adler of The Athletic shared that Stanton is throwing and hitting off a tee, along with running on an anti-gravity treadmill.
Truly, this is the first bit of real positive news surrounding Stanton’s injured right knee in well over a month. There is no word on when Stanton may return to action, but given this latest development Yankees fans can at least hope to see him in action before the playoffs.
Stanton has barely played for the Yankees at all in 2019. It’s been a procession of one injury after another. In nine games, he’s batted .290 with one home run and 7 RBI.
