As the Washington Redskins continue to hold firm in their plans not to trade star left tackle Trent Williams, the All-Pro offensive lineman also is reportedly committed to his holdout and likely won’t be joining the team any time soon.
Williams reportedly spoke with Washington’s former Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall and made it clear there is zero chance he’ll be at the team’s facilities next week as they prepare to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener.
The report shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given Williams’ camp indicated he doesn’t plan to play for the franchise again.
While teammate Adrian Peterson made it clear how impactful Williams’ absence has been on the field, Peterson and the rest of his offensive teammates will likely need to get used to playing without Williams for the foreseeable future.
