The Dallas Cowboys have to be hoping that five-time Pro Bowl guard Zack Martin is okay after suffering a back injury during practice earlier this week.
Martin underwent an MRI on Saturday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys are confident that he’ll be just fine. But the team will play it slowly when it comes to a return to the gridiron.
Martin, 28, has earned a Pro Bowl appearance in each of his first five NFL seasons. He’s among the best interior linemen in the entire league.
Needless to say, the Cowboys are hoping he’ll be ready for Week 1. Remember, they spent the entire 2018 campaign without Pro Bowl center Travis Frederick.
Having the entire gang back together will loom large in Dallas’ Super Bowl aspirations.
