Max Muncy was in perfect position to make a catch on a shallow fly ball off the bat of Austin Hedges Sunday. Then, the sun swallowed the ball, sending Muncy to duck for cover.
Even after trying to shield himself, the first baseman was absolutely clocked in the head.
That’s brutal. He was legitimagely in the exact right place he needed to be to make the play. Instead of ending the inning, however, Muncy got a lump on the head.
