The Los Angeles Lakers are at the center of many NBA rumors right now, and one of them involves NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard.
According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Lakers are eyeing Leonard as a free agency addition after having already landed Anthony Davis in a trade with the New Orleans Pelicans.
This certainly isn’t the first time we’ve heard the Lakers are going after The Klaw.
However, the team’s ability to do this in free agency now hinges on whether it has the cap space to afford three max-contract players. And based on what ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Sunday, that doesn’t appear to be in the cards barring some big changes.
If the Lakers do have the cash to go after Leonard, there’s another player set to cash in on free agency reportedly interested in joining LeBron and Davis in Los Angeles who appears to be a better fit.
