Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has his first career home run. And it was not a cheap one for the Toronto Blue Jays star rookie.
In the top of the first inning, Guerrero took a 3-2 pitch from San Francisco Giants opener Nick Vincent out to deep center field.
Not exactly a wall scraper.
The home run was estimated at over 438 feet. Oracle Park is not exactly known as a stadium where it’s easy to hit homers, especially to straightaway center.
But there isn’t a park in baseball that will contain a ball hit that well. We’d anticipate seeing many more like this from Guerrero.
