The Birmingham Iron have something going early Sunday against the San Diego Fleet. After throwing one touchdown to Trent Richardson (his first of the year), quarterback Luis Perez tossed another to L’Damian Washington, and this one was spectacular.
Perez got plastered as he passed the ball, but he delivered a strike to Washington, who turned on the jets and set a new AAF receiving record with the 83-yard touchdown.

Here’s a look at the play, which shows just how gutty a throw it was from Perez in the first place.

This incredible score made it a 12-3 game midway through the second quarter.
