After performing extremely well in the Chinese Basketball Association, former top-10 pick Jimmer Fredette has made his return to the NBA.
The former BYU standout just recently signed with the Phoenix Suns. And in his second game back, Fredette returned to his Utah roots.
Like clockwork, Jazz fans inside Vivint Smart Home Arena welcomed him back with a standing ovation.
A legend during his days in Provo, Utahns obviously remember the glory days for the Cougars.
For his part, Fredette had not played in the NBA for nearly three full seasons before he made his Suns debut on Saturday.
It will be interesting to see how much play the guard gets as the season draws to a conclusion. Fredette averaged north of 36 points per game in two seasons with the CBA’s Shanghai Sharks.
