The 5 vs. 12 games are traditionally trendy NCAA Tournament upset picks. Murray State’s Ja Morant is doing everything he can to keep that tradition going against Marquette.
The Racers held a slight lead at the end of the first half. Morant made that lead a little bigger when he channeled his inner James Harden, nailing a step-back three in the final seconds.
He kept it going in the second half. Moving without the ball, Morant ran towards the hoop, caught a pass in stride, and threw down an absolutely epic dunk.
The Golden Eagles have had absolutely no answer to the sophomore guard in this one. In essentially every way imaginable, he’s been the best player on the floor and there hasn’t been a terribly close second.
