Warriors Jordan Bell was suspended over hotel room charge?

The Golden State Warriors announced prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies that second-year forward Jordan Bell had been suspended for a game.

At that point, the only thing the organization noted is that Bell’s suspension came under the umbrella of conduct detrimental to the team.

After Golden State ultimately blew out the Grizzlies in Memphis Wednesday night, reports came in suggesting why Bell was in fact suspended.

According to Anthony Slater and Sam Amick The Athletic, it has to do with Bell allegedly charging purchases from his hotel room in Memphis to the card of assistant coach Mike Brown.

Yes, this is a real story. In. 2019.

“At some point on Tuesday night, Jordan Bell made a purchase at the Warriors’ team hotel here,” the report read. “The exact item or items and amount of the bill is unclear. What isn’t, though, is who got unknowingly charged for it: assistant coach Mike Brown.

After a quick investigation into the matter, the Warriors revealed that Bell was the culprit. It’s not yet known what he had charged to Brown’s account.

As noted in the report, members of an organization get a per diem while on road trips. This is charged to the personal card.

What makes this even more disturbing is that there’s reportedly “concern that this wasn’t the first time Bell has pulled this maneuver on some unknowing member of the organization.

Just imagine the youngster trying to charge his bills to the likes of Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins. We don’t think it would go over too swimmingly.

In any event, this sure is one crazy story.
