Reports emerged on Monday that the Golden State Warriors were reuniting with center Andrew Bogut. But according to head coach Steve Kerr, that’s not the case. At least not yet.
Kerr noted (h/y LetsGoWarriors) that it’s not something that can be talked about until the deal is made.
“Nothing’s official. There are things that have to happen. And we can’t really comment on it until it’s official.”
Bogut most recently played in the NBA as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers last season. This season, he played for Australia’s Sydney Kings of the NBL.
Bogut played on the Warriors from 2012-2016. Following the 2016 season, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in a move meant to clear cap space to sign Kevin Durant.
He was a part of Golden State’s 2015 championship squad and earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors that year.
