The Miami Dolphins reeled in veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick on a two-year deal Sunday, signalling a full-blown rebuilding effort.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the signing heralds what will likely be a “slow rebuild” that could potentially be “a full restart” for the organization.

Rapoport says that the 2019 season will be one in which the organization evaluates its roster, which is just a fancy way of saying that winning isn’t the first priority.
He also notes that, while the Dolphins could take a quarterback early this year, the 2020 draft is a more likely source to fill that need. That is something that has repeatedly been reported by others within the industry as well, with Tua Tagovailoa out of Alabama often being the man mentioned as the top choice.
