If the Los Angeles Lakers fire Luke Walton at the end of the 2018-19 season as many expect, then Jason Kidd is reportedly going to be one of the team’s top targets to replace him.
Of course, Kidd is also reportedly being targeted by the California Golden Bears, where he played from 1992-94 before becoming the No. 2 overall pick during the 1994 NBA Draft.
The Lakers (31-41) have been a disaster this NBA season, and Walton appears to have lost control of the roster. They’re already out of the playoffs, and Magic Johnson failed big time during the season to land one of the most coveted big men in the league.
It remains to be seen if Kidd would be the voice that brings the Lakers back together to play as a team. The only thing we know for sure is that this year’s Lakers were a discombobulated mess.
