On Tuesday morning, TMZ Sports broke the news that Antonio Brown had been investigated by police in Florida this January regarding a domestic dispute. Brown was not arrested over the allegations.
A couple of hours later, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler shared a response from Brown’s lawyer, who blasted the media for “trying to use distractions” to “tarnish” Brown’s name.
“The allegations are baseless and false. It’s unfortunate that the media is trying to use distractions like this and prior stories in an effort to tarnish my client’s name and reputation. We have no further comment.”
Brown has done plenty on his own to stir up drama the past few months. His public rift with the Pittsburgh Steelers and ongoing love affair with the San Francisco 49ers has been widely covered by all major outlets.
So, any negative story that comes out about him is going to generate plenty of coverage.
