Much like earlier in the day in New Orleans, there was some controversy late in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game between the Patriots and Chiefs.
With New England up 17-14 midway through the fourth quarter, it appeared that Julian Edelman muffed a punt. But upon further review, officials declared that he did not touch the ball.
However questionable that call might have been, the football gods had a way of atoning for it. Two plays later, a Tom Brady pass intended for Edelman tipped off the receiver’s hands and was picked off by Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen.

Within less than a minute, Patrick Mahomes hit Damien Williams on a 23-yard touchdown to give the Chiefs a 21-16 lead.
