One poor British woman who happens to be called Dee Ford is getting some serious heat for something she had nothing to do with.
Kansas City Chiefs pass rusher Dee Ford cost his team a chance to ice the AFC Championship Game with an encroachment penalty. The five-yard penalty wiped out what would have been the game-sealing interception off Tom Brady. So, it’s understandable that the name Dee Ford isn’t getting any love from Chiefs Kingdom.
But things certainly took a dark turn when Chiefs fans started attacking the wrong Dee Ford — a good sport who has had her Twitter timeline flooded with angry tweets.
The amount to of tweets to @dee_ford instead of the Chief's Dee Ford, is fantastic. And telling about the state of our country. All at the same time. pic.twitter.com/JNbwAG0WUa

Some of these have been extremely nasty, but she’s handled the entire thing with class.
I’m not sure I will. You enjoy summer though. Perhaps read a nice, calming book or something until Dee takes you back to the best game you’ve had in 49 years? https://t.co/iuSs6Pr0Ty
