Right. Up. The. Gut.
The Fresno State Bulldogs, down by three points in the third quarter of Saturday’s Las Vegas Bowl against Arizona State, went up on a brilliant 68-yard run by Ronnie Rivers, who romped straight up the gut for the score.

Once Rivers broke through the initial arm tackles up front, nobody could catch him until right before the goal line. By then, he had enough momentum to carry himself through for the score.
It’s been a rough day for Fresno State’s offense, which has uncharacteristically turned the ball over three times. This one run, however, flipped the script and put the pressure back on the Sun Devils, who are suddenly down with the fourth quarter looming.
