In a tight game against Middle Tennessee for the Conference USA Championship, UAB got absolutely robbed by the referee crew calling the contest.
Andrew Wilson was back to field the punt, and after he hauled it in he took off running and appeared to have a shot at taking it the distance.
As he was returning the punt, inexplicably, the officials whistled the play dead. It was ruled that he called for an invalid fair catch signal, but he did nothing of the sort.

The Blazers did take a two-point lead shortly afterward with a field goal, but it’s clear they were absolutely robbed of a chance to do even more damage.
