The Minnesota Vikings had been outplayed for the entire first half against the Detroit Lions. But thanks to a Hail Mary from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota took the halftime lead.

For the Vikings, that’s about as ideal as it gets. Rudolph stands 6-foot-6 and while he didn’t have a good first half, Cousins’ placement was perfect.
But from Detroit’s perspective, this coverage was terrible. Kenny Golladay was on the field. But for some reason, he ended up behind Rudolph, not even giving himself a chance at a jump ball.
Also, between this and Aaron Rodgers in 2015, the sight of a divisional opponent lining up for a Hail Mary at Ford Field has to be nothing short of terrifying for the Lions and their fans.
