Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay has seen the incident that occurred between Marcus Peters and a fan during Sunday night’s game. On Monday, he criticized Peters for his actions.
Sean McVay on Marcus Peters incident: "He knows that we’ve got to be better in those situations and can’t allow whatever is going on, in terms of that dialogue, to impact our ability to be focused on what’s going on during the game on the field with our team."

If anything, McVay is being too kind. While fans can obviously be annoying and can clearly go too far, Peters never should have been in that situation, which he clearly escalated (more on all that here).
In truth, Peters, the Rams, and everyone involved are fortunate that this incident didn’t get any worse. Once he approached the crowd, it would not have been hard to imagine a fan trying to make things physical.
Peters was relatively restrained physically once approaching the crowd. But getting anywhere near the seats was a recipe for disaster.
