Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins was furious with the referees last Sunday and made his feelings known with some pretty intense comments after the game.
Among them, Jenkins said the refs should “stay off the bottle,” which not surprisingly led to a stiff fine by the league.
Malcolm Jenkins was fined $12,500 for his comments after Sunday's game against the Cowboys where he suggested the refs stay off the bottle.

To be fair to Jenkins, he had a legitimate gripe.

There was also an Eagles turnover that should have taken place early in the game, but refs ruled against Philly on that count, as well. The play was even reviewed by the league’s office in New York, and still it went against the Eagles.

So, it’s easy to understand why Jenkins was so upset.
