JuJu Smith-Schuster scared a lot of folks when he injured his groin during practice on Thursday, just days ahead of a key game against the New Orleans Saints.
Teammate Antonio Brown had some positive news to share about the Pittsburgh Steelers young star receiver, and now Smith-Schuster has chimed in as well about his status for the big game.
Reassuring fantasy owners, and Steelers fans alike, Smith-Schuster says he’s absolutely playing Sunday…because fantasy football championships, of course.
A lot on the line this week. The whole season comes down to this. Yes, I’m talking about the fantasy football championship round. Of course I’m playing Sunday!!! Theres no way I can let down the real ones who believed in me by drafting me!! Let’s get it!! 🏆🏆 pic.twitter.com/6YntwS4lpD

What’s great here is that Smith-Schuster is engaging fans across the nation, not just his base in Pittsburgh. Of course, the real big deal for him personally has to be the fact that his team desperately needs a win to ensure it remains atop the AFC North and gets into the playoffs.
Smith-Schuster leads the Steelers in receiving this year and has emerged as a sort of dual No. 1 option in Pittsburgh. Through 14 games this season, he’s caught 95 passes for 1,274 yards and six touchdowns.
