The Louisville Cardinals have completely fallen apart this season. Last Saturday’s loss to Clemson was one of the most embarrassingly inept performances we’ve seen in ages, but on Friday night the Cardinals were at it again with a comedy of errors on the road against Syracuse.
I honestly thought it could not get worse for #Louisville pic.twitter.com/LZdAzps8jJ

At the time of this writing, it’s not quite yet halftime but Louisville is down on the scoreboard, 37-7. We’ve seen a bad play on special teams, a complete meltdown defensively and an unforced fumble that deserved the “Benny Hill” theme song.
Pass got rocked on that fumble by that invisible man. Wow! Rocked. No wait. He only fumbled it without being touched

It’s been bad. Really, really bad.
Twitter users across the nation have chimed in about the lopsided blowout in progress. Not surprisingly, many are calling for head coach Bobby Petrino to lose his job.
Bobby Petrino should probably use his post game presser to announce his resignation. Would be something new for him who has been fired/or resigned in all sorts of ways.

At this rate, I don’t think Louisville can afford to NOT fire Petrino. If I was Louisville, I’d do whatever I could to get Brohm as fast as possible.

Then there was just a ton of general commentary on the way Louisville was falling apart at the seams.

I’ve been saying all week that it feels like the Louisville players have quit on Bobby Petrino. Witnessing their effort in person has confirmed it for me. Syracuse rolling 37-7 with 1:28 to play in the first half. @NewsChannel9

Wow! This Louisville Syracuse game is really hard to watch. Louisville looks like they just don’t care. Maybe it’s just mediocre talent and a young group. Not sure. Mistake after mistake turnover after turnover. Pride needs to kick in at some point! This is not who we are. L1C4
