Despite being on a west coast trip and somewhat struggling to a 6-4 start to the season, most figured the Boston Celtics would have it easy on the road against the Phoenix Suns Thursday evening.
After all, Phoenix entered this game at 2-8 and being outscored by an average of 13.2 points per game.
Apparently the Celtics decided to take this game for granted. At the very least, the first half was a complete dumpster fire. How bad was it? Not a single Celtics starter outside of Kyrie Irving scored a point in the first two quarters as Boston found itself down 55-35 at intermission.

Boston shot 21.7 percent from the field and had as many turnovers (10) as field goals. Obviously, the NBA Twitterverse went wild over this disgusting display of basketball.
Suns have 22 made field goals at the half. They had 28 on Tuesday against Brooklyn.

Hold up… how did the Suns manage to keep Tatum, Brown, Hayward and Horford to a combined 0 points on 0-15 shooting in the first half?????

Let’s hope this is rock-bottom for the 2018-19 Celtics season.

The Celtics had a VERY short stay in the locker room at halftime. In fact, they were out so early that they had to wait a few mins for a youth basketball game to end. pic.twitter.com/SFerCxhQrO
