Ben Roethlisberger lined up to go for it on 4th-and-6 from Baltimore’s 38-yard line, but instead of trying to convert he ended up punting the ball.

It was a puzzling move, especially because Eric Weddle ended up returning the punt all the way to the Ravens’ 29-yard line. So, in the end, it was a nine-yard punt that didn’t really do anything positive for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
And honestly, a 56-yard field goal these days isn’t all that risky.
Still, folks on social media had some fun with it all.

Obviously we want Ben on punt return coverage in his 15th year with a broken left finger. We won’t live in our fears.

The one real big positive about the punt is it allowed the cameras to capture Big Ben’s custom cleats, which carry some significant meaning in light of recent events in Pittsburgh.
