Just days after news broke that LaMelo Ball is headed back to school to finish out his high school days at Spire Prep Academy in Geneva, a billboard has gone up welcoming him to Ohio.
The billboard is being sponsored by Overtime, a sports media company which has been featuring the Ball siblings in social media videos for years.

It seems like ages ago that Ball’s father pulled him out of Chino Hills High School in California last year to push his own agenda with the Big Baller Brand. Since then, Ball has played overseas with BC Vytautas in Lithuania before helping his father launch the ill-conceived Junior Basketball Association, sparking some controversy along the way.
Before leaving Chino Hills, Ball was a five-star prospect in the 2019 class. He’s clearly a talented young man who might have a bright future as a professional like his older brother, Lonzo Ball.
Just as clearly, there’s still a ton of hype surrounding him. It’s going to be fascinating to see how things play out as he finishes out his high school days in Ohio.
