Marvin Lewis hinted that this might be coming. Former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson is reportedly on his way to Cincinnati to join Lewis’ staff with the Bengals.

The Bengals just fired their defensive coordinator Monday after three straight games having given up at least 500 yards of offense — a new Super-Bowl-era record.
Lewis is now taking over defensive coordinator duties and needs help with other aspects of coaching his team. And given his familiarity with Jackson — an assistant to Lewis in the past, at many different levels — it makes sense to bring him on board to help out.
Though, given the way Cincinnati has failed to do much of anything beyond some regular-season success during Lewis’ entire tenure as head coach, one wonders if this isn’t the very definition of insanity.
