The San Francisco Giants are doing everything possible to unseat the division rival Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.
Far behind Los Angeles on the field, that now includes offering Dodgers general manager Farhan Zaidi their president of baseball operations job. According to Jon Morosi of MLB.com, a decision is expected within the next 24 hours.

San Francisco had been linked to Zaidi a lot within the past couple weeks. Though, that ramped up at the general manager meetings in Southern California on Monday.
Teams tends to let front office personnel out of their contracts if it leads to a promotion. Going from general manager to president of baseball operations would certainly be a promotion for Zaidi.
However, this is a foreign situation in that the Dodgers and Giants are bitter rivals. There’s no telling if Los Angeles will simply let its general manager join a fellow NL West team.
