WATCH: Tyrannosaurus Rex costumes take over Iowa State halftime show

In a Saturday full of wacky moments and wilder upsets in college football, the Iowa State Cyclones provided perhaps the strangest moment at halftime against West Virginia.

As Iowa State’s marching band played on the field, a swarm of people dressed in Tyrannosaurus Rex costumes took the center of the field and danced to the music.

It’s not as if Iowa State’s mascot is remotely connected to dinosaurs. Yet the school clearly wanted to mix things up this week and it led to a halftime demonstration no one will soon forget.
