Keenan Allen was not a happy camper in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. He had beaten his man at the goal line but watched Philip Rivers throw to Mike Williams, instead.
Williams dropped the touchdown, and Allen proceeded to throw a fit.
#Chargers WR Keenan Allen was not happy on that last play. He has to be cooled down by the teammates and receivers coach. Allen has 4 catches today for 41 yards. #TENvsLAC pic.twitter.com/VjvnKeEVcq

It’s easy to understand being frustrated here. Allen did break open, after all, and is one of the surest pass catchers in the entire NFL. If he had been targeted, chances are he would have scored.
However, one cannot fault Rivers for throwing the pass he did. It was on the money in the middle of the field, and Rivers clearly read the defense correctly.
Receivers tend to get upset when they’re neglected, though. And after watching two of his teammates go off on big scores earlier in the game, Allen wanted a piece of the action.
