Josh Gordon is back. With New England Patriots missing tight end Rob Gronkowski for their game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, the embattled wide receiver stepped up in a big way.
Facing a fourth-and-1 from Chicago’s 42-yard line in the second quarter and his team down 17-14, Gordon made this incredible catch over Kyle Fuller for a first down.

Just a few plays later, Tom Brady hit James White for a touchdown to give the Patriots a 21-17 lead.
It’s plays like these that the Patriots were hoping for when they traded for Gordon earlier in the season. Now that Gronkowksi is banged up and with the tight end struggling big time, New England will need more of this from Gordon moving forward.
Sunday’s early-game performance is a clear indication that he’s prepared to step up. Almost literally.
