Ihmir Smith-Marsette nearly made a huge mistake that could have cost Iowa points. He was back to receive a kickoff return early in the second quarter after Indiana had scored its first touchdown of the game. Smith-Marsette misplayed the ball and, quite honestly, should have let it bounce into the end zone.
That’s not what he did.
Instead, the sophomore receiver somehow wrangled the ball and proceeded to nearly take it to the house on an incredible return.
Smith-Marsette juked a few defenders right out of their shoes and then capped off the run with a crazy hurdle over kicker Jared Smolar.
This is a very eventful kickoff return. pic.twitter.com/bMcKhfq8YO
