New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady got off to a strong start in the 2018 season, and then Houston Texans safety Tyrann Mathieu took it all away.
On third down in the first quarter, Mathieu reacted quickly in coverage on running back James White when he saw Brady’s passed tip. Mathieu immediately stopped and adjusted his body to grab the interception.

While the interception wasn’t Brady’s fault, it all counts the same on the stat sheet. Houston brought in Mathieu to make plays just like this and its investment in the safety is already being rewarded.
