Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota (elbow) was active for the team’s game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Despite this, Mariota did not take to the field for his squad. Instead, Blaine Gabbert led Tennessee to a surprising win over the division rivals.
Having been dealing with this elbow injury since Week 1, Mariota was listed day-to-day heading into Sunday’s game. According to Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, nothing has changed in that regard.
Vrabel: @Titans QB Marcus Mariota's status is the same as it was Friday or Saturday

The injury itself is worrisome in that Mariota was dealing with nerve issues over the past few days. Not having feeling in your fingers is an even larger issue.
Set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next week, the Titans have to be hoping Mariota will be able to go. Being forced to go with Gabbert against the NFL’s top defense is a less-than-ideal scenario.
