The hits keep on coming for the Atlanta Falcons following their season-opening loss to the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles.
Atlanta has reportedly placed Pro Bowl linebacker Deion Jones on injured reserve stemming from a foot issue that surfaced last Thursday against the above-mentioned Eagles.
The #Falcons placed playmaking LB Deion Jones on Injured Reserve because of a foot issue. First Keanu Neal, then Jones. Costly Week 1.

It’s impossible to gauge just how big of a blow this is for the Falcons. A legit Defenisve Player of the Year candidate, Jones recorded nine tackles and an interception in the Week 1 loss. He’s been among the best linebackers in the game since entering the NFL from LSU back in 2016.
With Jones sidelined at times Thursday, Philadelphia’s struggling offense ran roughshod over the Falcons. That’s going to be indicative of what we see from this unit with the linebacker sidelined for at least eight weeks.
In that release, Dan Quinn says they expect Jones back this season. But he's out a minimum of eight weeks.

This news also comes on the heels of Atlanta placing fellow Pro Bowler, safety Keanu Neal, on injured reserve. Ouch.
