Generally, booting a ball in the outfield is not a good thing. But Yasiel Puig showed on Sunday that when you have an arm like his, it can be.
With Manuel Margot on first and two outs, San Diego Padres pitcher Robbie Erlin singled to right. Margot initially held at second. But when the Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder mishandled the ball, Margot took off for third. It was not a good idea.

The combination of arm strength and accuracy is just phenomenal.
We’ve certainly seen throws like this from Puig in the past. As such, we shouldn’t be surprised. But seeing him uncork throws like this to nail fast runners like Margot never gets old.
