The Menelik Watson experience in Mile High lasted a grand total of seven games and seven starts. Having signed a three-year, $18.38 million deal with Denver back in March of 2017, the former Oakland Raiders second-round pick is without a job.
According to this report from Mike Klis of 9 News in Denver, the Broncos have released the injury-plagued offensive tackle.

Watson saw his entire $5.5 million base salary for the 2018 season guaranteed back in March. He had earned $1.5 million in base last season. This means Denver paid a grand total of $1 million per start.
Needless to say, GM John Elway is admitting a rather huge mistake here. When Denver signed Watson back in 2017, it certainly didn’t make much sense. After all, he had started a total of 17 games in three seasons with the Raiders and had dealt with a plethora of injuries during that span.
It’s a hard pill for the Broncos to swallow. But as Klis noted, Elway is valuing actual rosterable playes over those he’s whiffed on. If so, Paxton Lynch might be the next to go.
