The New York Yankees organization has another Severino. On Monday, it was announced that the club had signed Rafael Severino, the brother of current ace, Luis Severino.
The Yankees have signed Rafael Severino, a 19-year old pitcher who is the younger brother of Luis Severino. He will pitch at the Yankees' Dominican Academy.

Luis has a 1.98 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, a 10.5 K/9 rate, and is truly a top contender for the American League Cy Young.
As such, it’s safe to say that if Rafael is anything like his older brother, the Yankees will be quite pleased. It will likely be a while, though. Not only is Severino young, but he’s fairly raw as a prospect. As such, he’ll be much more of a project than his brother was.
