Former NFL star defensive back Brandon Browner was reportedly arrested on Sunday and is facing “a long list of charges, including kidnapping, burglary, false imprisonment and violation of a restraining order,” according to NBC Los Angeles.
Browner was arrested by the La Verne Police Department following a call about a man breaking into a home through a locked window. According to the report, Browner is alleged to have “physically forced the victim back into her residence when she attempted to flee.”
“The former NFL pro allegedly physically harmed and made threats to kill the victim inside the residence. Browner fled the scene before police arrived, but the La Verne PD alleges that the 33-year-old took a Rolex watch valued at $20,000 from the victim before leaving the scene.”
Previously, Browner had been arrested for domestic violence against this same victim, who had a restraining order taken out against the former NFL star. Browner has also been arrested within the last year for making criminal threats against a woman.
Browner last played in the NFL during the 2016 preseason as a member of the Seattle Seahawks. He played for the Denver Broncos, Calgary Stampeders, Seahawks, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints over the course of his professional football career, winning two Super Bowls and earning one Pro Bowl nod.
